Amid a pandemic that has sent our economy into free fall, Black-owned businesses need more access to capital and funding than ever before.
And, so, we’re doing just that.
We have partnered with organizations such as BeyGOOD, Diversity Capital, Hello Alice, and many more to support Black entrepreneurship and the businesses that have been hit the hardest as a result of COVID-19 and social uprisings.
Today, I am pleased to announce another opportunity – NAACP Powershift Entrepreneur Grant – an initiative by NAACP and Draymond John, founder and CEO of FUBU and star of Emmy Award-winning show, Shark Tank, to find and award $175,000 to up and coming Black entrepreneurs. Submissions for the grant are now open until October 12; spread the word and apply here. More NAACP Grants & Resources for Black-Owned BusinessesNAACP x BeyGOOD: Black Owned Small Business Impact Fund BeyGOOD is on a mission to spread hope. The goal is to provide a lifeline for small businesses at the epicenter of dual pandemics. NAACP has teamed up with the BeyGOOD to expand economic opportunity by awarding grants of $10,000 on the 15th of each month through the end of 2020. NAACP x Hello Alice: #VoteSmallBusiness 93% of small business owners vote because your vote has the power to change the way we work. This year, we've partnered up with Hello Alice to make sure you have everything you need to make your voice count for the 30.2 million small businesses in the United States. From how to support your employees to volunteering your time at the polls, find everything you need to prep your business for election season. In Solidarity,
